4º Torneio de Skimboard
It will be held in Santa Cruz, Portugal on 22nd and 23rd of July ’06 the Zap Internacional, We are pleased to announce the presence of skimmers from all over the world and prize money of €5.000
This event is organised by ADELO, José Costa and Carlos Dias. The main sponsor is Zap Skimmers and it will have the cooperation of Torres Vedras City Hall
In the last three years Santa Cruz, Portugal has been stating its importance in the national Skimboard tour. In ’06, we intend to make Santa Cruz a stage for the highest level of competition, both national and internationally. The Zap Internacional has one of the biggest prizes ever, the participation of the best skimmers, the power of Santa Cruz’s waves and the warmth and support from the local public. These are more than enough reasons to confirm this event as one of the most important in this year’s competitive calendar.
The same crew that is putting up this event has already organised events that had a major role in the growth of the sport and its notoriety boost.

All contestants must be covered by a sports insurance and have a medical certificate of fitness to Skimboard.
Contestants that are already covered by such insurance will be exempt from showing the medical certificate, if they show a proof of their insurance coverage.
The competition will be divided in two, OPEN and ESCALÕES
Both OPEN and ESCALÕES will be held simultaneously in separate competition areas and judged by a separate set of judges.
In the OPEN will compete men and women of all ages.
The ESCALÕES category will be divided into the following groups:
Juvenil: Boys under 14
Júnior: Boys under 18
Seniores: Men over 18 and under 28
Master: Men over 28
Feminino: Women of all ages
The contestants can only enter one of the divisions.
The age divisions will take into consideration the contestants age on the 1st of January 2006.
Entry fees:
OPEN : 30€
ESCALÕES: 15€
To the entry fee is added a surplus of 5€ if the contestant doesn’t have any kind of sports insurance coverage, this surplus is to pay the contestant’s insurance for this event.
The entry isn’t considered valid until its payment is done. The entry deadline is at 24:00 of the 20th of July.
All contestants will receive an event’s T-shirt.
